MONSUN is a TH magazine, published every 3 months and features interviews with fans worldwide & other musicians about the topic Tokio Hotel, concert reviews, useful tips to survive in the fandom and lots of other information about your favourite band.

The magazine is available in german, english, french & polish and all issues can be downloaded for free on this site.

MONSUN is published by the Official Austrian TH Fanclub.

MONSUN Chronology


- April 2008, Copenhagen: the idea to make a Tokio Hotel Fanzine was born out of sheer boredom (remember, the concert was canceled.. and we went there nevertheless!)

- Oct. 6th 2008:MONSUN Issue #1 - The "Don't Piss Us Off" Issue

- Oct. 17th 2008: the boys are receiving their first issue of MONSUN thanks to our fellow fans in Orange, USA -> youtube link

- Oct. 19th 2008: MONSUN #1 gets translated to dutch by Twink

- Oct. 26th 2008: thanks to a reader who wants to stay anonymous, the first issue gets printed and MONSUN continues to have a small printed edition up to this day

- Dec. 31st 2008:MONSUN Issue #2 - The "Fight Club" Issue

- Jan. 18th 2009: MONSUN #2 gets translated to dutch by Twink + gets printed

- Jan. 22nd 2009:our homepage gets listed by MTV Buzzworthy!

- March 26th 2009: MONSUN and the Puppenjungs get featured at MTV Buzzworthy

- March 27th 2009:MONSUN Issue #3 - The "Hagen" Issue

- March 2009: MONSUN gets featured in the magazine 'Popcorn'

- March 2009: MONSUN gets featured in the magazine 'X-Press'

- April 2009: MONSUN is designated Official Fanclub for Austria -> THAustria is born

- May 26th 2009: invention of the MONSUN condoms: pic 1, pic 2. Fandom goes nuts because someone claims that they're official TH merchandise.. which they're (still) not. Dammit.

- June 5th 2009: the MONSUN twitter is created

- July 5th 2009:MONSUN meets Cinema Bizarre

- July 7th 2009:MONSUN Issue #4 - The "Sex Tape" Issue

- Aug. 8th 2009: MONSUN asks the most important question EVER during the Nokia contest

- Aug. 27th 2009: MONSUN goes to the Nokia gig in Cologne, meets the boys and hands over magazines and condoms

- Sept. 6th 2009: MONSUN gets featured in the Goethe Institut exhibit

- Dec. 9th 2009:MONSUN Issue #5 - The "Transformers" Issue

- March 7th 2010:MONSUN Issue #6 - The "Tour" Issue

- March 2010: MONSUN gets featured in the magazine 'X-Press'

- March 30th 2010: MONSUN meets Tokio Hotel in Vienna and hands over all up to date issues to the boys. Tom about the magazine: "MONSUN? Joa, find ich cool!"

- July 4th 2010:MONSUN Issue #7 - The "Tokyo Hotel" Issue

- August 2010: Bill says in an interview, the David Bowie "Labyrinth" statue that MONSUN gave him in Vienna is his favorite fan-present ever -> youtube link
